This talented singer/songwriter has been making a name for herself from Julian to Dublin with a style reminiscent of June Carter and Dolly Parton... A pure voice with cutting lyrics that don't just make for cute song, they make for songs with feeling and texture. With strong roots in classic country, bluegrass and classic rock, she falls firmly under the genre of Americana. The majority of what you'll hear is pure Sara, with the occasional cover of a Springsteen tune, like 'Tm On Fire" or she may reach into her guitar case and pull out a surprise or two. Get there early to order up some dinner and then sit back and enjoy a great evening of sara Petite. Pescadero Pickers Tone It Down For A Wynola Sunday Steve Phillips (above) and his band of "Pescadero Pickers" can't get enough of Julian, so Sunday they will have a special performance at Wynola Pizza's Red Barn starting at 5 o'clock. A mainstay at Baileys (they play there Saturday Night) they plan to break out their more intimate acoustic styles for the more laid back Red Barn crowd Sunday. Just Steve, Darrell, Dennis Dobler (Bass) and Tommy Sanchez. Saturday at Bailey's they are welcoming some special guests for what Steve calls a "raucous evening" with the Pickers and "Useless Rhetoric", featuring original artists Scott and Lynda West to fill in the breaks. A special "cameo" appearance by Dave and Tommy, a talented duo from Chihuahua Valley is also on the agenda. Catch them one night or the other, but catch em.
