March 7, 2012 FISHING REPORT Howdy From Lake Cuyamaca There is not a lot to brag about out here at the pond. It's been pretty slow. With the recent snows our west Lake is full and sp!lling over the wier and going into the east "upper" Lake basin This is providing great habitat for duck and geese. So, you 'camera buff's' out there can dust off the old Kodak "Brownie Instamatic", put on the rubbers, and come on out to slosh around. The "Bald Eagles" are still here and they put on a pretty good show. Off-Season rates are still in effect. We received an additional 700 pounds of trout from DFG on Thursday the 1st. That is in addition to the 1,000 pounds of Jess Ranch and 1,000 pounds of DFG a while back. Next Jess Ranch plant will be the week of March 12th... (right after daylight savings time). That one wil be 1,200 pounds. And Dusty Britches will be asking for some larger ones thrown irito the mix. Warmer days are ahead, or so the story goes. I guess that's why the weather people call it a "prediction" cuz you just neer know. If you asked Pete MaGregor about the weather, he'd say "look out the darn windowF With the predicted warmer weather, we are hoping that the bite will pick up... tight lines... Dusty Britches Visitina With Lily Childbirth continued from page 8 people said, "what's the big deal, we were also born at home" But the people our age thought it was terrible and could only see the danger of what could have gone wrong. Pat and I went on to deliver three more babies with Dr. Perrigo joining us for one of them. Oh to be young and dumb again! Postscript I do not recommend a do it yourself childbirth. Too many things can go wrong. Hospitals no longer treat childbirth as an illness and have wonderful birthing rooms where the whole family can experience this wonderful, happy event. And there is that miraculous thing called an epiduraL When Angela had her children I was there with her along with her husband and children. She had an epjdural at the first big pare and she had makeup on and was laughing and enjoying the whole experience without a single excruciating pain. A much better way to have a child. I believe it was because of us pioneering women who rebelled at the ridiculous way that a natural, beautiful event like childbirth was being treated in those long ago days that today's women have the best of both worlds. They have their loving families around them and have all the safety that a hospital provides. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern.. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters Daniel Webster Yellow-throated Warbler Primarily a gray bird with black-and-white markings, these birds are easy to identify by their bright-yellow throat. Yellow-throats eat a variety of insects, bat can be lured into your yard with sunflower heart chips in a tube feeder with a tray [ had one the other day.
