April 6, 2011 The Julian News 11 • FISHING REPORT • News from Lake Cuyamaca Last Week's Results and This Week's Prognosis The.Lake Is Open For Fishing Everyday At 6am Finally spring has sprung. The days this week have been sunny and warm which has got that g rass growing and the birds pairing up. The canada geese have already chosen their nesting places all around the lake. The turkey toms are out in the meadows strutting and gobbling and the deer are shedding to their summer fawn coats. In other words now is a great time to come up and watch wildlife and daffodils. Mt. Lassen brought Us 1000 pounds of trophy trout on Thursday and the fishing has been excellent. There is a free fishing class every Saturday at 10 am at the launch ramp. Please let the ranger know you are interested in attending.
