May 16, 2012 Keep it Simple Ways to make bird clean up easy: 1. Bring feeders in at night to keep them dry and bacteria-free. 2. Wash trays and let them air dry overnight. 3. Refill feeders at night so all you have to do is hang them in the morning. Ya know, it gets em every time. Whenever you tell a kid younger than 12 years of age that they have a booger hangin out of their nose, they do a finger sweep to make sure. The water temperature has gone up to 65 degrees, the large mouth bass are coming up into the shallow water, and the ospreys have returned. Some huge trout have been taken and the racoons are eating very well at night. "Kevin" tom Ramona, a frequent flyer here has not had a problem bringing in his limit on each visit, but his son, Zach has become an accomplished trout fisherman and is giving Kevin all he can handle. "Melvin Langhorn" has been here every day to check out the bass bite and caught a 12 pound trout over at Lone Pine. We are still seeing Yakkers out on the flatwater catching some good sized trout and bass, but the "big story" is the "crappie bite".., with the warmer water it is wide open on top, on bottom, and everywhere in between.
