Fall Julian Vet Walking continued from page 1 many causes in our great country to fight for but the number one cause is our Veterans because they fight to give us our freedoms to fight for our many causes. We should honor them by making their lives comfortable. When our country needed help they answered the call and it's our duty to answer their calls when they need help. After serving your country honorably, you should be given care when needed and without wait. No red tape and as a nation we must assure these Veterans that these services will be provided. So to Walk Across America for our Disabled Veterans and all our Veterans is my way of saying thanks. By walking, it allows all of America to see the flag that represents our Disabled Veterans and rally around this flag and the soldiers to provide them better care and seek new ways to help them improve their lives." Richard is a strong willed, dedicated individual who wants to make a difference and has found a quiet, dignified outlet for his mission. In his walk across the country he has never been without, the generosity of those he's encountered has sustained him. He wants to auction his car with signatures from veterans adorning it. When asked if he was going to put it on ebay he said, 'Td like to see if Jay Leno wants to buy it" he half jokes, then seriously looks you in the eye and says "1 know he's a friend of vets and he would appreciate it". With his dedication to this duty it would not be a surprise to see him on the Tonite Show handing over the keys and getting a big check in return, that he will hand over to Disabled American Veterans. Because that is what this "Walk Across America" is about. Richard Hunsucker is just proud to be able to help. Is $1 for every family too much to ask? Go to www.vetwalking.org, pledge!
