August 3, 2011 • FISHING REPORT • News from Lake Cuyamaca Last Week's Results and This Week's Prognosis This week has been perfect weather. A day in the mountains or on the lake is really a stress buster• Fishing all over the lake has been fruitful for most anglers. The crappie and bass are biting both from shore and boats. Many nice limits of trout have been taken and the catfish are out there waiting for you. No big sturgeon have been seen yet this summer but that could change. They were fishing off the T Dock using Power Bait. Bob Hipchew of Ocotillo Wells got four bass. the largest was 6 pounds. Bob was using Crank bait and fishing off Heron Point. We, here at Lake Cuyamaca, have wonderful fishermen that feed us frequently. Mike and Michelle West fed the entire staff with Mike's secret recipe of crappie nuggets. What a fish fry. Homemade salsa, tartar sauce and piles of deep fried crappie• A good reason to go crappie fishing. For reservations for a condo, sleeping cabin, tent or RV camping please call 877-581- 9904.
