We have lots of fundraisers planned, but, in order for us to succeed in our mission, we need your support. One hundred percent of ALL of our fundraising profits go to support/ save JCFPD. We're still selling "1 SAVED OUR JULIAN CUYAMACA FIRE STATIONS" t-shirts for $15 each ($13 goes to JCFPD thanks to Wetduck Design). We have them in tan, navy blue, white, and tie dye. It'll be a really great time to get an inside look of our local volunteer fire stations, and a good time to meet the volunteer firefighters and medics who may save your life or house one day. Please spread the word and come support your local fire district. Also on September 28th, we are also co-hosting a Fire Line Poker Run with San Diego Harley-Davidson. The ride will start at San Diego Harley- Davidson and end at the Julian Volunteer Fire Station. Eva Hatch JCFPD Fundraising Committee member Dear people of this land: As I understand, the bottom line of Dr. Caputo's letter to Duncan Hunter (14 August 2013, Julian News) he was making a plea for continued good deeds and empathic action from our Congressional representatives on immigration reform. From a responding letter (Clark, 21 August 2013, Julian News), I gained an appreciation about a belief in citizenship gained by either natural or legal methods and the extent of national pride supporting that concept. I was impressed sufficiently to sit down and write out my thoughts. From recent discussions in our country about immigration reform, one would think that migration, immigration, ownership, crime, human rights, legality and war experience were a single concept. On the one hand we have a passionate argument about the human dilemma and resolution. On the other we have the very human defense of territorial imperative.
