• FISHING REPORT •
Lake Cuyamaca
"Dusty Britches" here just to
let you know that the fish are
still coming out of the Lake. Our
next trout plant will be November
7th... 1,500 pounds from Jess
Ranch hatchery. Shore fishing
has been more successful with
bait. Lures on the troll that are
working are Rapala #5 RT; and
Red Rooster Tails.
It was funny the other night.., as
I was leaving the Lake after dark
I happen to see (4) headlamps
running around over at the Lone
Pine area on the shoreline. I
thought it interesting that when
I turned my headlights on to
leave that all four headlamps
disappeared, so I decided to
investigate. Only two campsites
were rented out for the weekend
at Lone Pine tent camp area and
they were both dark, nobody
around, but the cars were there.
I proceeded to the parking area
above the Lone Pine fishing
area.., no cars, so I pointed my
headlights down the hill to the
shoreline to find four fishermen
still fishing and asked them to
give it up for the night. Of course,
they said that they would, so I
left.., only to come back in a half
hour and find four headlamps
running around at Lone Pine
again. I didn't push the situation,
but visited the campsite the
following morning to find
aluminum foil with fish bones
and slices of lemon around the
campfire. I didn't say anything.
The campers were still sleeping.
I guess we all have a little bit of
that in us. They must have had
a good fish fry the night before,
and a good night's sleep.
Fishing classes are Saturdays
at 10:00 a.m., meet at the
boat launch and guided hikes
are Sundays. Meet at 1:00
p.m. at Chamber's Park...Our
"Off Season Specials" start
N6vember 1st. Give us a call...

conversion is good and now
they're up by 12, 26 to 14. Not
looking good at allT!
Again, like a scratched version
of "Smoke on the Water", the
Rams attempt an onsides kick.
Which they recovered!t Let no
deed go unpunished, the Rams
promptly fumble the rock away
and Julian recovers at the Rams
43.
Hunter hands the ball off to
Duey, who sets and fires a most
Foutsian flopping duck into the
waiting hands of Cole Southcott.
35 yards of juking, twisting and
just plain running, Cole is in the
endzone. Eagles score! Brian's
kick squirts though the goalposts
and our Eagles are coming back.
Borrego 26, Julian 21.
Sr. RB Eddie Silva outruns the
kicker on the Eagles kick and is
offside's. The Rams take the
penalty and. the Eagles re-kick.
Brian's kick sails to the Rams'
10 and they get a short return
to their own 20. The Rams RB
picks up a quick 4 yards, but their
8-yard completion is negated by
another 5 yard offside's penalty.
The Rams HB picks up a quick 3
yards and on the next down, he
imitates Moses at the parting of
the Red Sea and runs for a 69
yard score. The Rams attempt
the PAT kick and get it. The
score, with 4:37 left in the game,
Borrego 33, Julian 21
This is really getting stale;
Borrego tries another onsides
kick, which as before, the Eagles
recover at midfield.
