Magnolia is an 11-years-young female German Shepherd who
found herself at the shelter because her previous owner could no
longer care for her. She is a great older gal who is mellow, gentle
and would be happy to simply lay at your side through out the day.
Magnolia would benefit from gaining a few pounds and is in need
of a teeth cleaning (most elderly dogs do) and she will be a happy
companion for a family that isn't on the go all the time. Nothing can be
more rewarding than adopting an elderly companion into your home
knowing that you can provide the best care for a dog's remaining
years and in return enjoy the companionship of a loyal, thankful
friend. If you have it in your heart to provide this wonderful canine a
home please visit Magnolia at the shelter. She can be adopted for
the Senior Fee of just $35. Ask for ID#A1320116 Tag#C581
Shirely is a spayed 6-years-young smoke and white short-haired
kitty who arrived at the shelter as a stray. She is a quite gal who
is affectionate with the staff and volunteers. Her serene kitty-
manners are great for a home who isn't interested in the troublesome
characteristics of kittens. Shirely has a unique smokey coat that is
irresistible to touch and her added mustache will make you smile on
a rainy day. She may be shy at first, but remember the shelter is
a stressful place for any animal and she will warm up to new pet
parents once placed in a home environment. What better way to start
off the new year than with a furry companion who can help you ring in
the new year for many wonderful years to come. Meet Shirely today
by asking for ID#A1311419 Tag#C864. She can be adopted for the
Senior Fee of just $35.
All adoption fees include vaccinations, spaying/neutering (upon
adoption), a microchip and free Vet visit. Dog fees also include a 1
year license. Magnolia and Shirely are at our Central County Shelter,
5480 Gaines Street, San Diego. The Shelter hours are 9:30AM to
5:30PM, Tuesday through Saturday or visit www.sddac.com for more
information.

Ask Pastor Rick
Can you explain what it means
to be "cursed" by God?
The words blessings and curses
are often used in association
with God. Generally speaking,
blessings are considered
positive consequences and
curses are considered negative
consequences. I think of the
word curse in a broad category
that includes all negative
consequences. Within that broad
category are subcategories
such as discipline (temporary
punishment, motivated by love
and intended to sanctify), and
condemnation (both temporal
and eternal, motivated by wrath
and intended to fulfill justice).
